Rachel Baxter

Rachel Baxter is the newest member of TeamESSX Elite. She joins us after an illustrious career at Virginia Tech and an already impressive international career. Rachel went to high school in Orange, California where she set the California state record at 4.41m/14’5.5”. She was the number 1 ranked pole vaulter in high school as junior in 2016 and senior in 2017. While in high school, she represented the USA at the World U18 Championships. At Virginia Tech, she was a multiple time All-American, ACC Champion, and 2022 NCAA Indoor Champion. At VT, she again represented the USA at the World U20 Championships, the Pan American Games, and the World University Games. She will be spending the next couple of years finishing her Master’s Degree at Virginia Tech and training in Blacksburg with legendary coach, Bob Phillips and fellow #TeamESSX members Bridget Guy and Deakin Volz.
